Wing Commander.

In 1939, Grenville was sent to Ottawa, Ontario to help train RCAF pilots. He died when Yale aircraft #3431 failed to recover from a spin and crashed near the aerodrome at Uplands. Also killed in this flying accident was Flying Officer Donald Sidney Thomson Young.
